"Noryang: Sea of Death" - Any Easter Eggs in the Cookie Scene?

by OK2BU 2024. 1. 1.

On the last day of '23, I went to see "Noryang: Sea of Death," which marks the grand finale of the three-part series on Admiral Yi Sun-sin. Despite contemplating deeply between bidding farewell to the year with a family dinner under Seoul's spring blossoms or immersing myself in a larger-than-life film, I ultimately chose the latter.

"Noryang: Sea of Death" - Any Easter Eggs in the Cookie Scene?
Personally, I tend to be meticulous about historical accuracy, but after empathizing with the director's intentions through an interview before the movie, visiting the theater turned out to be a wise decision.

In the end, I can confidently say that the ticket price was well worth it, and I had the pleasure of enjoying a Korean film that didn't disappoint.

For those who have watched "Roaring Currents" and "The Admiral: Roaring Currents," it seems safe to say that you can confidently conclude the series by watching this latest installment.

Personally, I tend to be meticulous about historical accuracy, but after empathizing with the director's intentions through an interview before the movie, visiting the theater turned out to be a wise decision.

The small episodes the director infused seamlessly into the film didn't disrupt its essence, and I was captivated throughout by the performances of actors Kim Yoon-seok and Baek Yoon-sik.

Engrossed in the actors' stellar performances, I found myself holding my breath, concentrating on the film despite strong signals from nature urging a visit to the restroom. I was determined not to miss a single scene.

As the series comes to an end with the final battle of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, revered by the entire nation as much as a historical spoiler, I look forward to the upcoming year.

Oh, by the way, there is a cookie scene in this movie.

It appears after all the ending credits have rolled, featuring a cameo not seen in the film itself. Make sure not to miss it. Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
