One good alternative is to try drinking adzuki bean water.

 

Adzuki beans contain abundant saponins, which promote diuresis and metabolism, inhibiting the accumulation of unnecessary fat in the body. Moreover, their high potassium content helps excrete accumulated sodium from the body. Additionally, adzuki beans are rich in dietary fiber, which aids in weight loss. Particularly, soluble dietary fiber in adzuki beans absorbs and excretes cholesterol, while insoluble dietary fiber improves constipation. Furthermore, the vitamin B found in adzuki beans assists in carbohydrate digestion, fatigue relief, and memory enhancement.

Then, boil them in water over low heat for around 40 minutes, strain the beans, and drink the remaining water. If it's your first time drinking adzuki bean water, make it less concentrated by adding more water. Store the prepared adzuki bean water in a bottle in the refrigerator and drink it as needed. However, excessive consumption of adzuki bean water can lead to excessive diuresis and chronic dehydration, so caution is advised.

 

While adzuki beans are a healthy food, those with weak intestines and kidneys should refrain from consuming them. Excessive intake of saponins can cause diarrhea, and those with kidney diseases unable to properly excrete potassium should also be cautious. Elevated potassium levels in the body can lead to problems like muscle weakness and arrhythmia.

 

On the other hand, drinking lemon water can also aid in dieting. It's also a preferred beverage among many celebrities. Lemon water provides satiety and enhances the function of mitochondria, which helps in energy production, thereby promoting metabolism. Especially, steeping lemon in hot water is more effective than lukewarm water.

 

On days when your diet plan fails, trying adzuki bean water or lemon water can be a healthy alternative. However, it's important to always consider appropriate intake amounts and individual health conditions.
