Eugene Frigozin, the head of the Russian mercenary company Wagner Group, appeared to have died suddenly in a plane crash. However, there are emerging conspiracy theories on the internet that cast doubt on the circumstances of his death. According to a report by The New York Times (NYT), these conspiracy theories are filled with claims that are difficult to confirm.

In any case, this incident has sparked numerous conspiracy theories and debates, leaving questions about what might be happening behind the scenes.

Eugene Frigozin, the head of Wagner Group, was often referred to as "Putin's chef" or "Putin's hunting dog" in Russia, and his sudden death raises some questions. One of these conspiracy theories suggests that Frigozin was on a second plane that did not crash. According to this claim, two planes took off from Moscow in close succession, and Frigozin was said to have been on the second plane.

However, as of now, the only confirmed information is that Frigozin's name was on the passenger list of the crashed plane. Furthermore, Dmitry Utkin, known as Frigozin's right-hand man, was also reported to be on board, adding to the mystery.

One conspiracy theory speculates that Frigozin faked his death to get out of President Putin's sight, possibly as part of a staged act. However, Professor Mikhail Troitsky of the University of Wisconsin-Madison believes, "The likelihood of this incident being a staged act by Frigozin seems slim," adding, "It could be an event that demonstrates the intensifying power struggle within Russia."

Former US Ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, commented, "Frigozin's rebellion brought shame to President Putin," and "Frigozin probably did not anticipate that Putin would retaliate."

Russian authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, and as of now, Frigozin's name remains on the list of passengers aboard the crashed plane.

Separately, the Telegram channel GreyZone, associated with the Wagner Group, claimed that Frigozin had died and alleged that a Wagner Group aircraft had been shot down by the Russian military's air defense system. However, this claim is also among the unverified conspiracy theories.

In any case, this incident has sparked numerous conspiracy theories and debates, leaving questions about what might be happening behind the scenes. It remains to be seen as more information related to the incident unfolds, making it necessary to continue monitoring the situation.
